When I started my business I knew it would be different. I knew I didn’t necessarily want to focus on how much I could make but I wanted to see how much I could do. I wanted to be a world changer and help as much as I could, using something that I loved, photos.
Of course, I started the business to be profitable but I always wanted to keep Christ and what He has called me to as the focus and I know I am called to be a minister to His people and to show them His love and share is great story. Carmaleta Ann Photography & Design is more than meets the eye. It’s a business and yet it’s a ministry.
I was so excited when I saw an opportunity within our very own youth ministry. We are planning on attending Acquire the Fire in Baltimore, MD next month and we wanted as many youth to be able to attend as possible. After talking with my amazing second shooter/friend we came up with the idea to offer family photo sessions for $10 and have all the proceeds go straight to the youth ministry and our trip.
We had our first day of sessions last week and are gearing up for our next round tomorrow. If I had to say myself, it was extremely successful. I am so excited about our trip and even more excited about the lives that will be changed for the greater.
Jesus loves us so much! When I look at these portraits I see much more than people and families. I see individual lives that have purpose and destiny. I see God’s people and recognize how much He loves us.
